The Commissioned School Security Officer (CSSO) is a licensed security officer who provides armed security services in schools throughout Arkansas. CSSOs must be at least 21 years old, and must have the ability to pass a background check.
60 hr. Class- Meets State Police Training Standards per Rules 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5
8 hr. Class- Meets State Police Training Standards per Rule 10.3
The Private Security Officer (PSO) is a licensed security officer who provides unarmed security at locations throughout Arkansas. PSOs must be at least 18 years old. This class provides all training necessary to meet PSO standards.
24 hr. Class- Meets State Police Training Standards per Rules 10.3 and 10.4

This class is designed to provide the skills necessary for an armed responder to respond quickly and effectively to an active shooter event. The class consists of practical “hands on” learning both on the firing range and in a dynamic force on force setting. Teams are also taught response formations for 2, 3, and 4 person response.
Legally carry a concealed weapon in Arkansas
Concealed carry is both a right and a privilege. This class teaches safe weapon handling, laws, rules, and regulations regarding carrying a concealed handgun in the State of Arkansas. It also discusses various scenarios that might be encountered while carrying a concealed weapon and different options for handling those scenarios.
Class time is approximately 5 hrs. Cost is $50 per person. Must be 21 years old and pass a background check to qualify to carry a concealed handgun.
(Prerequisite for this class is the CHCL class or a valid Arkansas CHCL license)
The Enhanced Concealed Handgun Carry License allows you to legally carry a concealed handgun in several places that a regular concealed license does not.
Class time is approximately 8 hrs. Cost is $75 per person. Must be 21 years old, pass a background check, and complete a CHCL class or have a valid CHCL license to qualify for an enhanced concealed carry permit.
